STAMPED E. SUTER, ROCKINGHAM CO., VA SALT-GLAZED STONEWARE JAR, "2" gallon capacity stamp, very rare "E. SUTER. / Harrisonburg / Rockingham, co / va" within a slight frame maker's stamp, semi-ovoid form with squared rim and two handles. Attributed to Emanuel Suter, New Erection Pottery. 1866-1880. 11 1/2" h, 7" dia rim.
