STAMPED "J BLACK. / D C / ALEXA" DECORATED SALT-GLAZED STONEWARE JAR, approximately 1 gallon, tall ovoid form with irregular rolled rim and pulled handles, brushed cobalt horizontal flower and leaf decoration running around the entire shoulder, very strong maker's stamp. 1831-1836. 9 1/2" h, 4 3/4" x 5 1/2" rim.
