STAMPED "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO" DECORATED EARTHENWARE JAR, approximately 3 gallon, unglazed exterior with brushed manganese dotted tulip decoration on both sides, manganese glazed interior, slightly down-sloping collared rim, two ribbed handles with additional manganese at terminals, incised single undulating line and multiple rings below rim. Fourth quarter 19th century. 12 1/2" h, 8 7/8" dia rim.
