STAMPED "ROCKBRIDGE" VA DECORATED SALT-GLAZED STONEWARE JAR, approximately 1 gallon, tall ovoid form with rounded rim, two delicate rolled handles, and a single incised shoulder ring, brushed cobalt double-head running tulip decoration on one side, and cobalt brushed into the strongly struck stamp on other side, boldly beaded foot. Probably the Bustleburg-Firebaugh pottery. Second quarter 19th century. 10 1/2" h, 4 3/4" dia rim.
