DECORATED SALT-GLAZED STONEWARE CHURN, approximately 3 gallon, bold brushed and slip-trailed cobalt paddletail bird on a flowering vine decoration, two handles, Albany-slip glazed interior, fitted with a period dasher guide of unknown association. Third quarter 19th century. 16 1/4" h, 8" dia rim.

RESTORATION INCLUDES A PIECE BROKEN OUT OF THE BASE AND ABOUT 3" UP THE FRONT AND ACROSS THE DECORATION. THERE APPEARS TO BE ONLY VERY MINIMAL TOUCH-UP TO THE BLUE (UPDATED 6/23)
