ZIGLER POTTERY (ATTRIBUTED), TIMBERVILLE, VA DECORATED SALT-GLAZED STONEWARE JAR, approximately 2 gallon, rounded rim with three bold rings below, distinctive brushed cobalt horizontal leafy vine decoration full round. Possibly Andrew Coffman, the first potter recorded to have worked at John Zigler's pottery. Second quarter 19th century. 10 1/2" h, 9 1/2" dia rim.

Otto Zigler estate, Timberville, VA. Note: This jar was part of a group of pottery originally discovered in the cellar of the John Zigler homestead in Timberville, VA and sold through our gallery in 1988.
