COFFMAN SCHOOL, ROCKINGHAM CO., VA DECORATED SALT-GLAZED STONEWARE JAR, approximately 2 gallon, tall ovoid form with bold squared rim, incised multiple neck rings and two small ribbed handles, brushed cobalt double-head hollow-center Rockingham tulip decoration on both sides. Attributed to William C. Coffman or his son William R. Coffman, East Rockingham, possibly at Henry Miller's Elk Run Pottery. Third quarter 19th century. 12" h, 6 3/8" dia rim, 5 1/2" dia base.
