EMANUEL SUTER (ATTRIBUTED), ROCKINGHAM CO., VA LEAD-GLAZED EARTHENWARE DIMINUTIVE CROCK, "1/4" within a dotted oval capacity stamp but probably closer to 1/2 gallon capacity, double glazed wide-mouth form with broad flat-top rim and two incised rings. Exhibits an attractive light orange glaze with tiny speckles. Attributed to Emanuel Suter, New Erection Pottery. 1870-1890. 6 1/4" h, 5 3/4" dia rim.
