SCHERMERHORN POTTERY, RICHMOND, VA DECORATED SALT-GLAZED STONEWARE JAR, ovoid form with brushed cobalt "1" gallon capacity with lines and squiggle mark below on both sides, flattened round rim with collar below, applied grooved handles, and incised shoulder ring, additional cobalt at handle terminals. John P. Schermerhorn Stoneware Factory, Richmond, VA. First half 19th century. 9" h, 5 1/2" dia rim.
