HURT, AMERICAN NEEDLEWORK SAMPLER, seven lines of alphabet above a lower panel containing "Forgetmenot" and "Industry", a row of flowers and floral urns, an undulating grape vine, and a two line verse flanked by "Mary A. Hurt AE 10", all within a strawberry-like border, not dated, contemporary frame. First half 19th century. 17 1/2" x 16".
