Important Renaissance Revival bronze, patinated bronze and black marble clock and garniture ensemble; the works marked: "G.S Medaille D'or 1867", "2493", porcelain dial inscribed: "Bailey & Co. / Philadelphia". The decorative sculptural motif with ebonized & dore bronze seated maidens, garlands, and lion masks. French for the American market, c.1870. 33" h x 19 1/2" w =clock; 25 1/2"= h (garniture).

All surfaces original and undisturbed; one tassle pendant upon the clock lacking; portion of stamped beading above the base of one urn lacking; WORKS: original works intact, with the exception of pendulum, which is lacking. Operation of clock not observed.
