Condition/Details: Bound in gilt embossed tan cloth boards, this rare volume is a discussion of Japan and Japanese culture by Lafcadio Hearn, the famous Greek-born author of many books on Japanese folklore, language, religion, et. The volume shows some mild external wear, and is solidly bound with clean pages, lightly age toned pages. The title page includes two chop marks and there are some period annotations -- in English and Japanese -- throughout, as well as more chop marks. The book measures approximately 5" x 7.5" and contains 84 pages. Shipping cost (within the U.S.) for this lot will be: $4.50
