VIRGINIA BOOK OF UNUSED STOCK CERTIFICATES, for the New Market & Sperryville Turnpike Co., incorporated in 1848, includes receipts for certificates #1 - #166 which were sold between 1850 and 1858, including six shares to Solomon D. Henkel, along with well over 400 unissued certificates, original marbled front cover and gilt-lettered leather spine, lacking back cover.
