Pennsylvania Federal tall case clock,

arched and painted dial with floral spandrels, brass 30-hour movement, period pendulum engraved "Jacob Cope No. 285", cherry and mahogany case with broken arch hood pediment, spiral turned columns and turned and carved feet, 19th century, 90-3/4 x 19 x 11 in. Uprights extended 1 in. and dial and works probably married to case, wear and losses to dial painting, finials replaced, case refinished, other scattered flaws. Provenance: Accompanied by two documents describing descent through Turner family, from Daniel Turner, father of Jacob King Turner, father of August Turner, father of Augustus Monroe Turner, nephew of Romis Turner Gunckel(?); Formerly Deaccessioned by the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
