Two antique Windsor open armchairs:

one with ox bow crest and deeply shaped plank seat in early black paint, probably American, late 18th century, 36-1/4 x 22-3/4 x 15 in., [all four legs ended out with later metal braces, some retouch to black paint, spindles and arms somewhat loose;] one with tablet back, faux bamboo spindles and poplar plank seat, traces early red paint, American, 19th century, 36-3/4 x 20-1/2 x 16-1/4 in., [refinished, spindles and arms somewhat loose.] Provenance: A South Carolina Collection
