mahogany with single-board figured mahogany top with two drop leaves, poplar and pine secondary with walnut leaf supports, dovetailed drawer, Southern or middle Atlantic states, late 18th century, 29 x 23 (opens to 40-3/4 in.) x 29 in. Good condition overall with old refinishing, probably original pierced knee returns, brass drawer pull replaced, some later screws attaching top and leaf supports, other minor repairs and flaws and stains. The walnut leaf supports are not typical of Pennsylvania examples, and suggest a Southern origin.
