finely carved walnut throughout, splash panel with central carved armorial crest flanked by winged [putti,] carved fall board centering oval medallion of two children and opening to fitted interior, lion carved legs with cross-stretcher, Italian, second half 19th century, 59 x 34 x 23 in. Old refinishing with some sun fading, desk with later fitted interior, minor chips, cracks and losses to carved elements.
