devotional sculpture, the Archangel Michael on a cloud of cherubs, carved and polychromed wood, glass eyes, on carved polychrome and gilt base, original surface, 18th century, 17-1/2 in. Lacks wings, proper right arm, portions of sandals, implements for hands, one toe and proper left small finger, crackle, abrasions, some splitting and flaking.
