blue Sèvres cup, 2-1/4 in., with hand painted musicians on blue ground with gilt highlights, matching 5 in. saucer with matching printed mark for second republic, 1857, [possibly seconds, small firing flaw on rim of cup and 1/4 in. loss to gilt on interior, otherwise excellent condition;] oversized Paris cup, "Love the Giver" in gilt, unmarked, probably Paris, late 19th century, 3-1/4 x 5-1/4 in., with matching 6-1/2 in. cup plate, [wear to gilt rims;] fine Sèvres 5-1/4 in. cup, hand painted portrait medallion, woman with light hair on pink ground with extensive gilt highlights, matching 6-3/8 in. cup plate with second republic green printed mark for 1851, handle with classical head at terminal, [rim of cup with small firing flaw, some losses to gilding on handle, possibly resurfaced.] Provenance: Private Collection, Swannanoa, North Carolina
