circular metal with canvas coverings, old cork stoppers, one marked "10" above crossed guns over "2" and "L.A.", other side with "U.S.", one marked faintly "L Madden Co. M, 1st LA Vol.", both probably Louisiana. Some fading, stains and losses, both with original leather straps with brass mounts, leather with minor losses and average wear.
