Menville), 4-1/4 x 7-1/4 in., [normal wear and scuffs, generally good condition;] Civil War era U.S. cartridge box, original metal interior, 7-1/4 x 8-1/4 in., [leather very brittle with extensive surface losses, no belt;] carbine sling marked on steel hanger mount "TJ Sheppard/E Gaylord/Chickapee, Mass", stamped at tip end "R.A.R.", 51 in., [leather in good condition, minor corrosion and scuffs;] steel and brass carbine hanger, 7-3/4 in., [scattered light rust,] (five pieces).
