brass mounts, eight with American eagles with various numbers and emblems, each about 4-1/2 in.; six with shields mounted with eagles above banner "Excelsior", various numbers, each about 3-3/4 in.; two cap or helmet spikes, each 4 in.; two plume holders for shako, about 4 in.; eagle accessory, 2-1/4 in.; ten cast brass belt buckles and military accoutrements, two marked "CSA", two marked "US", one marked "NGP" (National Guard Pennsylvania, 19th century), one with pelican, several with eagles, some reproductions, in two modern cases. Unpolished brass with varying surface condition, some with minor corrosion, some buckles with wear, abrasions and mounting holes. Provenance: Private Collection
