open face, 18 kt. yellow gold case, key wind, golden dial hand painted with blue flowers, case with engraved dancing scene, [fleur-de-lis] bail 14 kt. (tested) yellow gold, with key, 1-3/8 in.; insurance replacement value $4,803, with appraisal. In running order at time of inspection, loss to paint, small dents, slight wear. Provenance: Accompanied by letter dated August 20, 1971 from Vacheron & Constantin stating watch was manufactured by Vacheron & Constantin's Swiss factory in 1845, letter signed by F. Berger; The Estate of the Late Paulene E. Poffenberger, Asheville, North Carolina
