KPM Plaque of a Mother with Two Children After Bougereau, late 19th century, rectangular, the classical maiden seated in a wood, feeding two sleeping toddlers, signed l.l. Girordier, in modern giltwood frame, plaque sight size 12 1/4 x 8 3/4, frame 20 1/2 x 17 in.
Condition report
This plaque is unmarked. The front of the plaque has been allover sprayed with a clear glaze, but there have been no restorations to any breaks or cracks. It appears that there are a number of areas of small flaking to the enamel, and perhaps the glaze was sprayed on to stabilize the flaking. The sprayed on glaze has numerous surface scratches. The frame is a modern gilt wood.
