ABT: Lionel #1479WS 1952 Steam Freight Set/OBs

Paul V. Ambrose and Drew J. Bauer present: This is the #1479WS Freight Set that Lionel made circa 1952. This 027 Gauge Set includes the #2056 Diecast Steam Engine with Headlight, Smoke, and silver rubber-stamped numbers, the #2046W Whistle Tender, the #6462 Black NYC Gondola with Barrels, the #6465 Sunoco Two-Dome Tank Car, the #6456 Red Lehigh Valley Hopper and the #6257 SP-Type Caboose. No Track or Transformer. Our Opinion is that the Set is generally in Very Good Condition, average signs of use and age. Three mounting screws are missing at the front-end of the engine chassis. The Original OPS-Printed Set Box is in (7+) Condition. The Interior Boxes are generally in (7+/8-) Condition, with a few flaps missing. All Original in our Opinion.
