CDV and Engraving of Ben McCullough, lot of two, includes a CDV bust portrait with backmark of photographer L.I. Prince of New Orleans; inscribed below image on mount Ben M'Collough; AND a 9" x 6" engraving by George E. Perine of New York rendering the same portrait as CDV.
Ben McCulloch (1811-1862) was a soldier, legislator, and prospector. Although born in Tennessee, he held allegiance to Texas, fighting in the battle of Battle of San Jacinto (1836), fighting in the Mexican American war, and finally in the Civil War where he was killed at the Battle of Elkhorn Tavern, Arkansas.

Light soiling and minimal foxing to CDV, engraving laid on black foam core, stray marks and light soiling on image.
