34th President. Typed letter signed as Chief of Staff, one page, octavo, War Department, Washington, February 12, 1946, to Abe L. Roberts, Public Relations Officer for the Disabled American Veterans. The letter reads in full: "Dear Mr. Roberts, I appreciate your sending me a copy of your telegram to General Bradley. I believe my recent statements to the press are indicative of my personal feelings regarding General Bradley. He is a man of recognized ability and has my wholehearted support. Sincerely,". Signed, "Dwight D. Eisenhower".
Omar Nelson Bradley was the main U.S. Army field commanders in North Africa and Europe under Eisenhower during World War II. Eisenhower held him in high esteem and considered him a better General than Patton. Mailing folds and minor wear, otherwise in very good condition.
