First Lady, Wife of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the 32 President. She was a strong supporter or her husband's New Deal as well as Civil Rights advocate. Brief typed letter signed, one page, octavo, New York, Oct. 28, 1955. The letter reads in full, "Dear Mr. Allen: Thank you so much for the copy of "Keen Teens" which I am glad to have. I do not have much time for reading but I will try to look through your book at my earliest opportunity. It should be a great help that your book has been selected by The Literary Guild. Very Sincerely Yours,". Signed, "Eleanor Roosevelt". Lightly wrinkled, otherwise in very good condition.
