She writes in her hand a beautiful Autograph Quotation Signed ; " Strive to be sensible and sincere, just, serviceable, and generous. " She signs and dates the card " Julia Ward Howe, April 1893". Cream colored card with clean, dark handwriting. Very fine condition.
