In 1898, he published a manifesto "J' accuse!" supporting Alfred Dreyfus, the Jewish officer who was falsely convicted of treason. Handwritten Autograph Letter Signed, dated January 21, 1865, 1 page, in French on "Librarie L'Hachette Blvd. San Germain". " I thank you a thousand times for the obliging article that you wrote about me in de Charivari. You gave me way too much praise and I do not know how I can accept so much kindness. Please use me for any services that I can be able to provide you..." Signed "Emile Zola". In excellent condition and boldly penned.
