From humble beginnings in Indiana, Jane Alice Peters changed her name to Carol Lombard and became one of the most charming and talented stars in cinematic history. Due to a typo in the credits for Safety in Numbers, 1930, she became Carole Lombard. There is a tiny bit of sepia toning along with wrinkling and creasing across the image and borders. But the shot of Lombard is still a winner. Fine+.
