5 VINTAGE ESKIMO IVORY ANIMALS ONE SIGNED KATEXAC

FIVE ANIMALS. A walrus, signed Romeo Katexac, with inlaid black eyes and tusks, red pigment and black inked etched lines at mouth; an ermine with black inlaid eyes, anus and genital; a crested auklet from walrus tusk with etched and inked wings, eyes, crest and red pigment at beak; another bird with etched and inked plumage and red pigment at feet and beak; and a wolf. Ivory. Eskimo, North America. Circa 1950-1960. Auklet = 2 7/8 x 1 x 2 inches. Provenance: the estate of Irena Narell, Oakland, CA.
