A RUSSIAN GOLD AND GEM SET CIGARETTE CASE St. Petersburg 1899-1908. The polished body with hinged lid engraved with monogram, an applied two-colored gold rose charm and applied monograms embellished with diamonds. Verso with applied nickname "Sema", garnished with diamonds and sapphire and with red cabochon thumbpiece. The interior engraved with a dedicatory inscription dated 1904. Hallmarked St. Petersburg 1899-1908, Cyrillic maker's mark of Andre Stepanovich Bragin, 56 gold standard. Length 3.5 inches (9 cm). Total weight 91 grams (2.91 troy ounces). Estimate $4,000-$6,000
