TWO AXE HEADS. Both asymmetric. One a mottled sage green with dark green occlusions; the other mottled dark greens and blacks. Imbabura area, Northern highlands, Ecuador. Circa 500 B.C. - A.D. 500 One: 5 1/2 x 4 3/4 x 1 1/8 inches; other: 6 3/8 x 4 1/4 x 1 1/4 inches. Collected 1965-1968 by Col. William R. Cameron. Exhibited: "Ecuadoran Artifacts" the Monterey Museum of Art, Monterey, CA, 1977, catalog #1.
