Tall and scarce Owens Lotus vase by Charles W. Chilcote. On a light blue to light cream background, Chilcote has decorated this large vase with two open lotus blossoms, one closed bud and two leaves. This vase is pictured on page 65 of Owens Pottery Unearthed by the McKibbens and Stoffts. The vase is marked Owens 1249 on the base and signed Chilcote on the side in white slip. Mint with even, overall crazing. 16 3/8" tall.
