Rookwood 1930 oval planter in colorful high glaze by William E. Hentschel. Marked with Rookwood logo, XXX, the shape number 6165, a fan-shaped mark us during Rookwood's 50th Anniversary and the artist's initials. X'ed. There is a tight crow's foot to the bottom and some factory grinding chips at the base. 10 5/8" wide by 5 3/4" tall.
