773. Screen-used "Hyena-Swine" costume and display from The Island of Dr. Moreau. (New Line, 1996) This is the actual costume and fur suit worn by Daniel Rigney in the movie. The head is a careful recreation from the original makeup and life cast of the actor as are the hands. Polyfoam and latex were used to create the head and hands; the bodysuit is hand painted and hand tied fur. Measures 64 in. tall (on base).

Profiles in History is pleased to present its third and final offering of 35 original screen-used visual effects creatures and puppets of some of the most iconic characters ever created for film. These impressive pieces were assembled over many years by a single private collector who has now decided to pass these treasures on to new caretakers.

Many of you will recognize these characters as original creations of the artists at the Academy Award-winning effects house Stan Winston Studio, and each piece is accompanied by a signed letter of authenticity from the Stan Winston Studio. Bidders please note: the consignor will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each piece to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

This incredible collection represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire some of the most important visual effects pieces ever created for modern cinema, each of which pushed the boundaries of film technology to new heights while simultaneously bringing new and exciting characters to life on the silver screen.

IN MEMORY OF STAN WINSTON, 1946-2008 $4000 - $6000
