![]() 774. Complete eight-foot crocodile study maquette from Lake Placid. (TCF, 1999) This miniature version of the crocodile for Lake Placid was to serve as both sculptural and esthetic approval aspects of the 31-foot long full sized croc. It is the only finished run and the only positive polyfoam pull to come out of the original mold. No others exist. Sculpted and painted by the same artists responsible for the full scale character in the movie. Measures 8 ft. long x 18 in. wide. Profiles in History is pleased to present its third and final offering of 35 original screen-used visual effects creatures and puppets of some of the most iconic characters ever created for film. These impressive pieces were assembled over many years by a single private collector who has now decided to pass these treasures on to new caretakers. Many of you will recognize these characters as original creations of the artists at the Academy Award-winning effects house Stan Winston Studio, and each piece is accompanied by a signed letter of authenticity from the Stan Winston Studio. Bidders please note: the consignor will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each piece to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
