(Warner Bros., 2001) In the robot dump sequence just before the Flesh Fair scene in the film AI, many robots are seen to be looking for spare parts to repair themselves. Both of these robots are from this junkyard scene. Made of polyester, epoxy, slip rubber, foam rubber and vaccu-formed plastic over a steel and aluminum articulated armature. The bodies' exteriors were metalized with a copper finish and airbrushed to complete the patterns and age that it was designed for. Lights in the clear faceplates give an inner life to the characters and rod puppeteered arms added to this effect. The heads were cable driven (the controllers have since been removed) and the hands were posable. Designed and created for the screen by Stan Winston Studio and each comes with a signed letter of authenticity by Stan Winston. Servant stands 70 in. tall and Cleaner 59 in. tall. Profiles in History is pleased to present its third and final offering of 35 original screen-used visual effects creatures and puppets of some of the most iconic characters ever created for film.
