Ruth Rolands 1932 diary signed by various celebrities including Jean Harlow, William Powell, Buster Keaton, Amelia Earhart, etc. A former child star known as "Baby Ruth", Ms. Roland entered films in 1911 and soon found her way as a serial heroine, rivaling Pearl White in popularity. This diary is for the year 1932 and contains hundreds of autographs of friends and famous Hollywood stars of the day, many of which contain personal inscriptions to Ruth. Some of the more famous authographs include: Oliver Hardy, Freddy Mack, Jeanette MacDonald, William Demarest, Lew Cody, Gilbert Roland, May McAvoy, Paul Muni, Ben Bard, Joe E. Brown, Karyl Norman, Carole Lombard, William Powell, Bessie Love, Fay Wray, Amelia Earhart, Frank Borzage, George Raft, Seena Owen, Eddie Cantor, Al Jolson, Ricardo Cortez, andy Devine, Bing Crosby, Buster Keaton, Ralph Bellamy, Tom Mix, Neil Hamilton, Charles Starrett, Dick Powell, Jean Harlow and Kate Smith. The book measures 4 in. x 5 in. with full brown and green leather binding and stamped with an elaborate red, black and gilt pattern on the front board.
