
815. Original Dorothea Holt production artwork of "Reconstruction of Atlanta" for Gone With the Wind. (MGM, 1939) Originating in the art department of Selznick Studio's Production Designer William Cameron Menzies, this exquisite scene sketch is executed by production artist Dorothea Holt. Accomplished in watercolor on art board and measuring 20 in. x 24 in., it depicts the Reconstruction of the war-torn city of Atlanta which features prominently in the film. During pre-production some 2,500 to 3,000 sketches were executed by Menzies' team with most of the more impressive pieces being done by Menzies, "Mac" Johsnon and Dorothea Holt. An important and emotionally charged piece of original Gone With the Wind production artwork. $2500 - $3500
