885. Krell control panel from Forbidden Planet. (MGM, 1956) This exceptional vintage prop appeared as one of the energy-amplifying devices used by the Krell. Constructed of wood, painted silver and gray, with translucent plastic-bead windows, and original ceramic light bulb sockets in the rear housing, the prop measures 4 ft. x 3 ft. x 8 in. deep. It retains the original wiring and the panels blink sequentially when plugged in. A great piece of 1950s science-fiction hardware from this Academy Award-nominated film based on Shakespeare's Tempest! $6000 - $8000
