888. Robert Dix "Crewman Grey" tunic and pants from Forbidden Planet. (MGM, 1956) Forbidden Planet, the ultimate sci-fi space opera, pits the crew of the saucer-shaped C57D space cruiser against the Monster of the Id, conjured by Professor Morpheus in this classic 1950s retelling of Shakespeare's The Tempest. This iconic costume, worn by Robert Dix as crewman "Grey", represents one of the few surviving artifacts from this landmark film. Black trim on collar was added for a 1960s Twilight Zone episode. $1500 - $2000
