944. Nadiuska, "Conan's Mother", special effects sword from Conan the Barbarian. (Universal, 1982) Metal sword with retractable special-effects tip and suede wrapped handle. This sword was constructed for use by Nadiuska, in her role as Conan's mother, in the film. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Nick Allder, special effects supervisor on the film, stating, "this Sword, used by Nadiuska as Conan's mother, was made by my company and used in the original 1981 Edward Pressman production." Measures 34 in. long. $6000 - $8000
