1017. Trident of "Skeletarius" used by Russell Crowe as "Maximus" in Gladiator. (Universal, 2000) Custom made by armorer Simon Atherton and used prominently in the first arena battle. This is the hero version, measuring 91 in. long, with a wooden pole and removable head made of reinforced resin. Russell Crowe as "Maximus" steals it away from "Skeletarius" and uses it to kill him. The pole exhibits several sword cuts, presumably as a result of "Maximus'" sword deflections. A key prop weapon from the film. $600 - $800
