1045. Joaquin Phoenix "Merrill Hess" baseball bat and drinking glasses from Signs. (Touchstone, 2002) Hero "Swing Away" Louisville Slugger baseball bat with "Genuine Merrill Hess" brand at top. This bat used by Joaquin Phoenix as "Merrill Hess" with the glasses filled with water were key in killing the alien in the climactic final fight scene in M. Night Shyamalan's film Signs. The handle exhibits some cracking (from the force of the blows) and studio blood can be seen in the cracks. Comes with a letter of authenticity by property master of the film, Kevin Ladson. $1500 - $2500
