"Cardini's Pet" [Automaton] Singing Bird in Cage Automaton. Maker unknown, ca. 1920s. Brass cage 11 ½" high and 5 ½" in diameter containing a small automaton bird that moves and sings. In good working order complete with key. Very good condition. With: A photograph of Richard Cardini, Frances Marshall, Dai Vernon and the automaton bearing the following typed notation on the verso: "by Richard Cardini on their trip to his native land. The bird? Dick's pet.
