Elaborate Meissen Porcelain "Shepherdess" Group, third quarter 19th century, featuring a galants couple and a pair of ewes before a ruined wall, in the rococo style, with old professional repairs, the base marked with the Meissen crossed swords in underglaze blue, h. 9", w. 8", d. 7".
Condition report
The lady is lacking her left forearm. The gentleman's right arm has been re-attached just below the shoulder and his right leg is also repaired just above the knee. His left hand has had repairs. Base has been broken in half and repaired. There is in-painting at all of the repairs.
