Vintage albumen print. c1880s. Printed c1880s. Credited in the negative, lower left. 7 13/16 x 10 5/16 in. (198 x 262 mm). Sheet Size: 7 13/16 x 10 5/16 in. (198 x 262 mm). Affixed to original mount. The three Abdullah brothers operated a commercial studio in Constantinople, with branches in Cairo and Alexandria. In 1862, they were named official photographers to the court of Sultans Abdul Aziz and Abdul Hamid II, and commissioned to document the Ottoman Empire.
