Vintage photoetching. 1938. Printed 1938. Signature stamp, verso. 10 3/4 x 8 3/4 in. (273 x 222 mm). Photoetchings are similar to photogravures/relief etchings. Bird and his contemporaries used this technique as a medium for original expression, rather than as a method of reproduction.
